Bio

Known for her bluesy soul, and heartfelt storytelling, Ava England is a country and americana singer-songwriter based in Nashville Tennessee. She grew up in Alabama, the Heart of Dixie, where she discovered her love for singing and picked up the guitar. Her path then took her out west to California where she blended these backgrounds to begin to create music that is authentic to her story. Her influences include artists like Miranda Lambert, Bonnie Raitt and Larkin Poe. She admires these artist for their originality, emphasis on storytelling, grit, and passion for the music. She hopes to pull these elements into her own work. The south has always been her home so she made her way back to attend Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she is pursuing a degree in Music. In her time at Belmont she has become a vocalist for Belmont Bluegrass and has had opportunities to perform for Lady A's St. Jude Fundraiser, Wynonna Judd's Fall Celebration, Dolly's Fisher Center press conference, and at the iconic Grand Ole Opry as well as the Station Inn. Ava loves making a song her own, and working out harmonies on each new project. She found joy early on using her gifts singing in her church's choir and later on became a worship leader. So when she's not singing her own stories, she loves leading worship at Belmont's Chapel Service's. She enjoys spending time in the studio, working on her own music, but loves going in for sessions where she can contribute to another artist’s vision. Currently she's working on releasing her debut southern rock single, "Jezebel". This song tells the story of a young girl who wasn't interested in changing herself to fit the status quo. She's excited to continue to develop her artistry, collaborate with other artists and create songs that tell the stories she pulls out of the world around her.
